• Welcome to Pre K Counts
     My Name is Mrs. Lonnie Hauer and I am so happy to be part of the Shamokin Area School District family.  I am starting my 14th year at Shamokin Area and my 9th year of teaching Kindergarten for 4 year olds. The Pre K Counts program is a state grant that our district was granted so that 40 children can have subsidized preschool. It is a wonderful program and I am so excited about a great year.
    I am married 37 years to Bob Hauer and we have  3 grown sons, Bobby, Aaron and Dan. The boys have given us beautiful daughter in laws and 7 grandchildren. 
    My main interest is in early childhood education. I am a 1975 graduate of Bloomsbury State College with a BS degree in Elementary Education. I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood from Bloomsbury University 2005 and certification in ESL and Early Childhood. 
    I love how the little ones get excited to learn. Its fun to be part of their lives.
