Welcome Message

Welcome to the Shamokin Area High School’s Web Site.
Our goal is to challenge our students to perform at high academic standards.  Classes at all levels are academically rigorous and taught by highly qualified teachers who challenge students to do their best work.  We employ an APL approach to teaching and learning.  Through this process, teachers and staff are better prepared to offer meaningful classroom instruction; leadership throughout our school system is better able to use and interpret data to drive decision-making, plan professional development, and help ALL children succeed now and into the future.
Please explore our web site and see first-hand the many opportunities available at Shamokin Area High School.  We are proud of our accomplishments, our students, our staff, and our school community.  We encourage you to join us as we prepare our future leaders of the world.

Thank you,

Chris J. Venna
Principal
