    Jennifer L. Neary Is the Newly Hired Principal at Our Shamokin Area Elementary & Intermediate School.  She Is a 2003 Graduate of Shamokin Area Jr. Sr. High School.

    The 2023-2024 School Year Will Be Mrs. Neary's 15th Year with Shamokin Area.  Jennifer's Service in Education Began in 2007 As an Elementary Teacher at Transfiguration Catholic School.  in Her Years with Shamokin Area, She Has Been a 4th Grade Teacher, 5th Grade Teacher, and Reading Specialist for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades.

    Jennifer Has Also Been Involved with Implementing a Student Council Club at the Elementary and Intermediate School Level.  Through This Club, Students Get to Work with Each Other to Provide Fun and Exciting Opportunities for Students in the School.  This Club Organizes a Soctober Sock Drive, Christmas Food Drive, Thanksgiving Food Drive, 5th & 6th Grade Winter Dance, Candy Grams, Door Decorating Contests, and Helps to Make Our Yearly Carnival the Large Success It Turns out to Be Each Year!

    Born and Raised in Shamokin, Pa, Mrs. Neary Pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education Through Susquehanna University. While There, Mrs. Neary Worked Many of the After School Programs at Shamokin Through the Csiu.  She Completed Post-baccalaureate Studies at the University of Scranton Where She Earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration in 2013. Currently, Mrs. Neary Holds a Pa Teaching Certification in Elementary Education (K-6), Middle School English (7-8), and Educational Administration K-12.

    Family Is Something That Is Very Important to Jennifer; She Owes All of Her Success to Her Parents, Brothers, Husband, and Children Because They Help with Any and All Activities and Initiatives She Becomes Involved in.  Mrs. Neary Has Been Married for 15 Years, and Has Four Children Who All Attend Shamokin Area School District.  Mrs. Neary Also Enjoys Coaching and Being Involved in Youth Sports.  She Is Active Within Sybl, Shamokin Youth Baseball, and Little Indians Football and Cheerleading.  Her Favorite Sports Teams Include the Miami Dolphins, New York Yankees, La Lakers, and Notre Dame.
