As one of the nation’s oldest continuously active high school alumni organizations, we’re proud to honor a tradition that began with our first graduating class in 1883.

For more than a century, we have gathered annually to celebrate our shared history, support our community, and keep the spirit of Shamokin Area High School alive.

We’ll always be loyal and true.

The Shamokin Area Alumni Association would like to honor two distinct individuals annually starting this year at our 2026 Banquet in May.  The awards would be as follows:

  • Alumni of the Year Award - given to an alum who has made a significant impact on the local community
  • Alumni Association Volunteer of the Year Award - given to the Alumni Association member whose volunteer work has greatly benefited the mission of the Alumni Association

Please fill out the form below with your information and your nominee's information with a description of why they are being nominated.  Nominations will close on March 27th. 

At our Spring Alumni Meeting on March 30th, we will be voting for the winners of these awards and then they will be honored at the banquet in May. Thanks for your help!

Spring Meeting

Spring Meeting

Our spring meeting will be held Monday, March 30th at 6:30pm - at Clarks Grove UMC (downstairs social room) in Irish Valley, Shamokin Township.  Planning for the 143rd Reunion and other alumni business will be discussed. A zoom option will be added closer to the date, if you want to join virtually due to distance, but if you're local we would love to see you in person!
